InSpace alternatives 2026
InSpace locks its NOVA content program into a 12-month term from $1,000 a month for 10 pages. Ranked alternatives: Promptwatch first, then AthenaHQ, Outrank, SEObot, and FirstIndex.
Most people who search for InSpace alternatives have already seen the quote, or at least the pricing page. InSpace sells NOVA, a managed AI SEO content subscription where software and a customer success manager research, write, and publish 10, 20, or 40 pages a month into your CMS. The InSpace facts below were checked on inspace.io on 29 October 2026, and every other number comes from our own catalog listings.
The full grid of options is at /tools/inspace/alternatives/. This post is the ranked shortlist, with the reasons behind the order.
Why buyers walk away from InSpace
The commitment comes first for most people. InSpace labels one pricing option "Monthly", but the page's own script passes it to the contact form as a 12-month term paid monthly, and the NOVA FAQ says you choose a 1-year or 2-year plan. The smallest plan therefore means $12,000 committed before you know whether any of it worked.
Then the unit price. Stratosphere works out to $100 per page, Milky Way to $85, and Universe to $75, on the one-year term. Content autopilots in this directory publish articles for a few dollars each. Those are not identical products (InSpace includes a specialist review and rewrites of existing pages), but a gap that wide needs a strong reason.
The third reason is proof, and it is the one we weigh most. InSpace says NOVA includes GEO monitoring of citations in AI answers, yet the only detail it shows is an example dashboard for a fictional brand. Prompt counts, refresh frequency, and countries are not published. AI crawler logs and AI-referred conversion tracking are not described on its product, pricing, or service pages. And the vendor writing the pages is the one grading them.
No trial helps either. Every plan button leads to a contact form.
How we ranked the alternatives
Measurement you control ranks highest, because content without a way to check it is the problem being solved. Shipping content comes second. Clear pricing and short commitments count in every slot.
1. Promptwatch: measure first, then publish against the gaps
Promptwatch is where we would send an InSpace prospect. It is an AI visibility platform that also acts on what it finds, so the content and the evidence live in one account.
Business costs $579 a month, billed monthly. It tracks 350 prompts with 42,000 responses, includes 10 AEO articles, and runs the automated Content Agent: a publishing calendar with a monthly budget, plus a review inbox or a hands-off mode with a quality check, publishing to WordPress, Webflow, or Framer. Crawler logs (100M) and visitor events (10M) come with it. Business has no trial, but Professional at $245 a month does: 7 days on monthly billing, with 150 prompts, 5 AEO articles, and 25M crawler logs. Explore is free. Essential at $95 has no crawler logs, so skip it if crawl data is the point.
What sets it apart from InSpace is the proof layer. Agent Analytics shows IP-verified visits from AI crawlers such as GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot and connects each crawl to whether the page was cited. Visitor analytics counts AI-referred sessions and conversions. Citation analytics shows which pages and domains the engines cite. One honest limit: Promptwatch publishes to WordPress, Webflow, and Framer, not Shopify or Magento.
2. AthenaHQ: an action queue for teams that do their own writing
AthenaHQ suits a team that wants a tracker which tells them what to fix and has people to do the fixing. Our listing, read from its pricing page on 24 October 2026, shows a free Essential tier with 300 credits and a Starter plan at $295 a month with 3,600 credits, where one credit is one AI response. Starter covers 11 models, unlimited topics, prompts, and competitors, country-level support, and a content optimization agent. API access and extra credits are paid add-ons on Starter, and Enterprise is custom.
It lists GA4, Shopify, and Webflow revenue attribution. Our listing does not show a published AI crawler log product. That makes it a step below Promptwatch, and a long way ahead of a program that shows you an example dashboard.
3. Outrank: cheap volume if you supply the measurement
Outrank is a content autopilot. One plan at $99 a month publishes 30 articles a month, with upgrades to 60 or 90, unlimited users, automatic keyword research, AI images, and a backlink exchange. It integrates with WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Wix, Ghost, Notion, and Next.js, so Shopify stores are covered.
At $99 for 30 articles, the arithmetic is about $3.30 an article against InSpace's $100 page. Trial articles carry a watermark until you subscribe. It does not publish AI crawler logs, citation analytics, or visitor conversions, so pair it with a measurement tool.
4. SEObot: the smallest monthly step, with HubSpot publishing
SEObot runs a weekly content plan on autopilot, with optional approve or moderate controls. Plans start at $49 a month for 9 articles, then $99 for 20 and $199 for 50, with agency tiers above that. Its integrations include WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot, Framer, Wix, and Ghost, which covers more of InSpace's CMS list than most tools here.
There is no free trial. The $49 plan has a full refund if you contact support after the first article. Like Outrank, it does not publish crawler logs, citation analytics, or conversion tracking.
5. FirstIndex: if you truly want a service, not software
FirstIndex is the closest like-for-like option: a done-for-you SEO and AI visibility retainer. It costs more per month, $2,000 on a single plan, but the plan is month to month. Each month covers up to 12 in-depth articles, 50+ fixes to existing pages, AI mention tracking on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews, and a weekly report.
It is built for software companies only, and it does not say how AI answers are tracked either. If you hire it, keep an independent tracker running beside it.

When staying with InSpace is reasonable
If your site runs on Magento or Storyblok, you have no writer, and a year of budget is already approved, InSpace covers a CMS gap the tools above do not. Even then, add a separate tracker before the contract starts so you can check its reports. Our InSpace review and pricing guide go deeper. For most readers, the better move is to start with Promptwatch and see where you stand before paying anyone to write.
