FirstIndex review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #175Done-for-you SEO and AI visibility for software companies: one checked change a day, $2,000/mo flat.
Our verdict
FirstIndex is an honest, simple retainer: one flat price, month to month, and a promise of daily shipped work rather than rankings. It suits a software company that has budget but no one to do SEO. What it does not give you is your own view of the data: no published dashboard, prompt set or crawler logs. Most teams should price that $2,000 against running the program themselves on Promptwatch, which tracks AI answers, logs AI crawlers, attributes AI-referred conversions and drafts and publishes content for a fraction of the fee. If you do hire FirstIndex, keep an independent measurement layer so you can check what the daily changes moved.
Best for: Software companies with no SEO hire that want someone else to ship daily SEO and AI-visibility work for a flat monthly fee.
FirstIndex (firstindex.co) is a done-for-you SEO and AI visibility service for software companies, not a self-serve platform. Its pitch is one real change shipped to the client's site every day, each one checked by a person before it goes live, aimed at getting pages indexed by Google and AI crawlers, found for the searches that matter, and mentioned in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Changes go straight to the site or through the client's CMS, and a report every Monday shows what moved. The site and llms.txt say plainly that FirstIndex does not promise rankings.
Pricing read on 15 October 2026: one plan at $2,000 a month, month to month. Each month covers up to 12 in-depth articles, 50+ fixes to existing pages, comparison and alternatives pages, free tools such as calculators, index checks and index requests, tracking and fixes in AI answers, and the weekly report. The homepage adds directory listings, link outreach and social posts for each new article. Onboarding starts with a one-sentence request by email; FirstIndex replies within one business day with a yes or a no, then asks for access to the site, Search Console and Analytics.
FirstIndex covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
What the $2,000 plan includes
firstindex.co and firstindex.co/llms.txt (read 15 October 2026). The site is a single page. There is one plan at $2,000 a month, month to month. Each month covers up to 12 in-depth articles, 50+ fixes to existing pages, comparison pages and free tools, index checks and index requests, tracking and fixes in AI answers, and a weekly report. The homepage also lists directory listings, link outreach and social posts for each new article.
The daily unit is the core of the offer: each day FirstIndex picks the one change it expects to help most in search or in AI, and a person checks it before it ships. Work types listed are research, a keyword map that gives every page its own searches, long-form articles, alternatives and vs pages, free tools such as calculators, copy and page fixes, AI mention tracking, index checks and fact checks on prices and claims.
How an engagement starts and what you can verify
You email a one-sentence request: the question people ask and the site the answer should include. FirstIndex says it replies within one business day with a yes or an honest no, then asks for access to the site, Search Console and Analytics from a short checklist. Questions go to the founder, who is listed by first name only.
The only results on the site are an unnamed example: under 1 click a day rising to 164 by week 12, and impressions from 41 to 9,400 a day. That is FirstIndex's own figure for an unnamed site. The pages do not name the tool behind AI mention tracking, how many prompts are checked, how often, or whether AI crawler activity and AI-referred conversions are reported. Ask for a sample weekly report before you sign.

What you still need after this product
On this listing, FirstIndex is a GEO service for Software companies with no SEO hire that want someone else to ship daily SEO and AI-visibility work for a flat monthly fee. What we sourced here: One change shipped to the site every day, each checked by a person before it goes live; Changes go live straight on the site or through the client's CMS connection; Up to 12 in-depth articles a month, plus comparison pages, alternatives pages and free tools; 50+ fixes a month to existing pages: titles, copy, speed and internal links; AI mention tracking on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, with fixes where answers are wrong.
If you buy FirstIndex for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
FirstIndex's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.
