Birdeye vs Uberall vs Reputation vs Yext Scout: Local AI Visibility Compared (2026)
Four listings vendors now sell per-location AI visibility. Birdeye Search AI, Uberall GEO Studio, Reputation and Yext Scout compared on engines, refresh, price and fixes, plus where Promptwatch fits.
Every big listings vendor now ships an AI visibility module. All four here answer the same question for a chain: when someone asks ChatGPT for a dentist or a gym nearby, does each of our locations show up, and are the hours and address right? They differ on engine count, cadence, how a fix gets made, and whether you see a price before a sales call.
Vendor facts are taken from our catalog entry for each tool (vendor pages, October 2026). The Promptwatch numbers are from the company's published llms.txt.

Birdeye Search AI
Birdeye Search AI lets each report pick from seven engines, the most any of these vendors offers without a custom plan. Claude, Grok and both Google AI surfaces are included alongside ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Reports cover Citations, Visibility, Ranking, Accuracy and Sentiment, by brand, by location, or both. The Accuracy report traces a wrong address or set of hours to its source and corrects it where Birdeye manages the listing. An optimization agent ranks fixes by impact and hands them to Listings, Blog and FAQ agents.
Birdeye states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliance, which matters to the healthcare and dental groups it sells to. The weak spot is buying it: usage is metered per query, per engine, per location, with no published price.
Uberall GEO Studio
Of the four, only Uberall GEO Studio can be bought with a card. GEO Starter is $109 a month for 50 prompts on 3 engines of your choice. GEO Scale is $449 for 150 prompts, 5 engines, daily runs and location-level tracking. The custom plan unlocks all 11 engines, though Uberall's product page says nine, so ask.
It is also the most content-minded. Sources break down by domain, page and social platform (Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube), hallucinations are flagged, and Action Center drafts go through approval before they reach the CMS. WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Framer are supported. The catch for a chain: per-location data is not in Starter.
Reputation AI Location Presence Insights
Reputation AI Location Presence Insights is the cheapest to add if you already pay Reputation, because its FAQ calls it a no-cost upgrade for Business Listings and RepCore customers. Each location gets five widgets: Listing Accuracy, Search Mentions, Sentiment, Search Visibility and Topic Sentiment.
It is also the narrowest. Three engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) are reached through enterprise APIs, and Reputation's guide warns results can differ from the consumer apps. When a detail is wrong, the dashboard links to the source site, and you fix it there if you are an admin.
Yext Scout
Yext Scout launched in March 2025 and is the most competitor-minded of the four, scoring every storefront against as many as 20 nearby rivals. The data behind it, which Yext calls the Scout Index, is put at more than 2 billion monthly data points over 9 million business-location pairs (Yext's figure). Recommendations feed Yext's Listings, Reviews, Pages and Social agents.
Yext's pages name ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, then disagree on whether Claude or Grok makes four. AI citation data needs a paid Scout subscription. Scout is sold inside a packaged solution, and Yext's pricing page returned a 404 when our listing was written.
Who should pick which
A chain already on Birdeye gets the most engines and automatic listing fixes, as long as the prompt meter fits the contract. Uberall suits brands that want to try before signing and need content published. Reputation is the free add-on for existing customers who mainly want to check hours and addresses. Yext Scout is for Yext customers who want local competitor benchmarking.
Where Promptwatch fits
All four tools start from the listing. That is right for a wrong phone number in Gemini. It is wrong when your listings are clean and AI engines still recommend a competitor, because then the problem is your website and its sources.
For that brand, Promptwatch is the pick. Tracking can be set per country, per state or per city. Citation analytics show which pages, domains, Reddit threads and YouTube videos the engines lean on. Agent Analytics, from Professional at $245 a month, shows whether ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot fetched your location pages and whether a citation followed. Content Agents write the missing pages and publish them to Webflow or Framer through a review inbox.
For a multi-location brand that keeps its listings vendor, Promptwatch is the measurement layer to add. None of the four documents AI crawler logs or AI-referred conversions. Promptwatch's visitor analytics, installed with a script or GTM template, show which AI-referred visits became bookings or sales. Agencies running several chains get unlimited projects from $199. FAQ
Which local AI visibility tool covers the most engines?
Uberall's custom plan lists 11. Birdeye offers seven. Uberall's self-serve plans let you pick 3 or 5.
Do I need Promptwatch if I already use one of these?
Only if you need the site side: AI crawler logs, page-level citations and AI-referred conversions. None of the four publishes those.
