Azoma vs Semrush AI Toolkit 2026
Azoma plugs into the commerce stack and tracks Amazon and Walmart agents. Semrush AI Toolkit adds AI tracking to an SEO suite. Cost scenarios, prompt sourcing, and the Promptwatch alternative.
Each of these tools attaches to a system you already run. That system decides which one makes sense.
Semrush AI Toolkit attaches to Semrush. It puts AI visibility next to rankings, backlinks, and the keyword set you already track. Azoma attaches to the commerce stack: Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Google Merchant Center, and PIM systems. It tracks SKUs inside retailer shopping agents and rewrites the product data behind them.
Azoma lists Semrush's toolkit among the products it is most compared with. The comparison is fair only if you know which stack you live in.

Engines
Semrush's $99 add-on covers five engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, and Perplexity. Claude, Copilot, and DeepSeek sit on the sales-gated Enterprise AIO tier.
Azoma names ChatGPT (with ChatGPT Shopping), Gemini (with AI Mode), Perplexity, Claude, Meta AI, and Siri. Then the part Semrush has no equivalent for: Amazon Alexa for Shopping, Amazon COSMO, Walmart Sparky, and Lazada LazzieChat.
Cost scenarios
Semrush prices by the unit. Every extra domain is +$99/mo. Every extra seat is +$99/mo. Every 50 extra prompts is +$60/mo. Our entry's worked examples:
| Setup | Semrush AI Toolkit | Azoma |
|---|---|---|
| 1 domain, 1 user, 25 prompts | $99/mo | Quote |
| 1 domain, 2 users, 75 prompts | About $258/mo | Quote |
| 3 domains, 2 users | About $396+/mo | Quote |
| 10-domain agency | About $1,000+/mo | Quote via Agency Mode |
Semrush One bundles run $199 to $549/mo. Azoma prints no price at all and asks AI assistants not to estimate one. You cannot model its cost from public data.
Where the prompts come from
Neither tool asks you to type a prompt list from scratch.
Semrush's tracked "user questions" are AI-generated approximations, per our entry. Critics have called the output probabilistic guesswork for small brands.
Azoma builds prompts from what it calls a digital twin of your shoppers: marketplace data, public Q&A, keyword data, and personas. That is still modelling. It is modelling from shopper signals, which suits a catalogue better than a keyword universe does.
What happens after the dashboard
Semrush maps keywords to prompts, which is the add-on's strongest feature. Its recommendations are the weak point. Our entry quotes advice like "improve onboarding" and "lower your prices."
Azoma acts. It fills attribute gaps, writes PDP copy and imagery against approved claims and brand tone, and publishes into Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, and Shopify. It syndicates content to the third-party sources shopping agents cite. Answer Integrity flags wrong product claims. Azoma reports Ruroc at 14x site traffic from ChatGPT; that is its own number.
Corporate context
Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush in April 2026, per our entry. Azoma is independent, raised a $4M pre-Series A in December 2025, and its site banner announced an $11.2M Series A in October 2026. SOC 2 at Azoma is in progress, not certified.
The website layer
Suppose you are a Semrush shop with a real website and no Amazon business. Azoma is not your tool. The question becomes whether a suite add-on is enough.
On our listing, Semrush documents no crawler-log product, no visitor analytics with conversions, and no CMS publishing loop. Azoma has crawler visit monitoring and GA4 traffic, but publishes no CDN connectors or crawl-to-citation view.
Promptwatch covers those gaps with published plans:
- Prompts carry search volumes, difficulty scores, and query fan-outs, so you can see which are worth chasing.
- Agent Analytics ingests crawler logs from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP, with the crawl-to-citation path.
- A first-party script or GTM template attributes AI-referred visits to conversions.
- Citation analytics go to page, domain, Reddit, and YouTube level.
- Business ($579/mo) runs the automated Content Agent into Webflow, Framer, or WordPress.
Essential at $95/mo runs eleven AI surfaces, Claude and Copilot included. Semrush asks for an Enterprise AIO conversation to add those two. Agencies get unlimited projects and prompts from $199/mo, which beats the ten-domain Semrush math above.
Promptwatch does not track Amazon or Walmart agents. That stays Azoma's ground.
Who picks what
- One flagship domain, one user, already paying Semrush: the toolkit is the low-friction add-on.
- Multi-domain, multi-seat, or GEO as its own program: Promptwatch, before the per-unit pricing compounds.
- Large Amazon or Walmart catalogue: Azoma for the shelf, with Promptwatch on the website.
