Wix AI Visibility Overview vs HubSpot AI Search Grader (2026): two free-ish snapshots
HubSpot's grader is a free, no-signup score across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Wix's report needs a Premium plan and AI credits but adds AI bot crawls. Both are snapshots, not tracking.
Wix AI Visibility Overview and HubSpot AI Search Grader are the two AI visibility checks a small business is most likely to stumble on, because both come from platforms it may already use. Both check the same three engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Both produce a score. Neither is a tracker. The useful differences are cost, history and the one thing Wix can see that HubSpot cannot: your own traffic.
The one-sentence difference
HubSpot's grader is a free one-off score for any brand, while Wix's report is a capped, credit-metered check for Wix sites that adds AI bot crawls and AI-referred sessions.

How the Wix report works
Facts were read on the Wix help center article and wix.com/plans on 20 October 2026. The report lives in Wix Analytics and needs a Wix Premium plan. Wix lists Light, Core, Business and Business Elite plans and says prices vary by location, so we do not quote one.
Wix generates questions from your site description, URL and business name, sends them to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, and scores the share where your site was mentioned or cited. A citation without a mention still counts. Each question shows your position, a branded or non-branded label, the sources used and the full answer. A brand perception block asks one question about how the business is seen online.
The traffic panel is where Wix earns its place. Because Wix hosts the site, it shows sessions from each AI platform and the last time an AI bot crawled the site. For ChatGPT and Perplexity it also charts bot fetches after a user query and which pages were read. That is a small version of crawler-log analysis.
The caps are tight. One new test a day, five a month, the same on every Premium plan. Each test costs AI credits paid by the site owner, about 20 to 25 for the default set and up to 50 to 60 at the maximum, with costs that move with the AI providers' pricing. The report stays empty until the site has 50 unique visitors in 30 days. Only the last five results are kept.
How the HubSpot grader works
HubSpot figures come from our catalog entry. Enter a brand and the grader runs test queries on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, then returns a 0 to 100 score across five dimensions: sentiment (weighted up to 40 points), presence quality, brand recognition, share of voice and market position, with a written interpretation. No account and no cost. HubSpot renamed it AEO Grader in 2026.
The score is a sample. It changes between runs, and HubSpot's own disclaimer says results are not guaranteed. There is no history, no custom prompt list and no alerting. The paid path is HubSpot AEO at $50 a month with about 25 prompts tracked weekly and a 28-day trial.
Who should pick which
Run the HubSpot grader once, whoever you are. It is free and takes a minute, and the written readout is a reasonable way to open the AI search conversation with a manager.
Use the Wix report if your site is on Wix Premium and has the traffic to qualify. Re-test monthly, not daily, to stretch the five-test cap, and watch the AI sessions line more than the score.
Do not use either to measure progress. HubSpot's score moves on its own between runs. Wix keeps five results.
The Promptwatch option
Both tools answer "what does AI say about us right now". Neither can tell you whether that is improving or why.
Promptwatch starts at the same price as the HubSpot grader. Explore is free with 10 prompts on ChatGPT, 1 project and 1 seat, and the prompts are ones you choose rather than a generated set. When the snapshot turns into a project, Essential at $95 a month runs 50 prompts daily across all tracked LLMs, with 200K visitor events for AI-referred traffic and conversions through a script or GTM template. That works on any CMS, not just Wix.
Wix's bot panel is limited to two bots. Promptwatch's Agent Analytics, from Professional at $245 a month, logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with a crawl-to-citation path. Citation analytics goes to page, domain, Reddit and YouTube level, and Content Agents publish the pages that fill the gaps to Webflow, Framer or WordPress.
Verdict
HubSpot AI Search Grader: free, instant, noisy. Wix AI Visibility Overview: credit-metered, capped, but the only one of the two that shows AI traffic. Treat both as a first look. For anything you need to report on next month, move to Promptwatch, starting on the free Explore plan.
FAQ
Is the Wix AI Visibility Overview free?
No. It needs a Wix Premium plan, and each test uses AI credits paid by the site owner, about 20 to 25 for the default question set.
Why does my HubSpot grader score change every run?
AI answers vary between runs and the grader takes single samples. HubSpot's disclaimer says results are not guaranteed.
Which one shows AI bot traffic?
Only Wix, and only for Wix sites. It shows the last AI bot crawl and, for ChatGPT and Perplexity, pages fetched after user queries.
