What each pipe is for
MCP server: one-click OAuth into ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor. Query visibility scores, citations, prompts, page trackers, and content generation from the agent you already use. The official ChatGPT plugin and Claude connector are the store-directory wrappers on that same server. If you already live in one of those agents, the MCP server is the pipe that puts the visibility data next to your conversation without a tab switch.
REST API v2 is the programmatic surface: content generation, topics, Reddit and YouTube socials, page trackers, with scoped keys (org or project, including read-only).
