Local Falcon review (2026): geo-grid AI visibility, priced by the grid point

Local Falcon maps AI recommendations across a 9 to 441 point grid on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Grok, from $24.99/mo in credits. How fast the credits go, and what it skips.

Local Falcon does something no other tool in our directory does at this granularity. It asks an AI engine the same question from every point on a map grid around a location, then shows where the business gets recommended and where it does not. For a dentist or a plumbing firm, "does ChatGPT recommend us" is the wrong question. "Does it recommend us three miles north" is the right one, and Local Falcon answers it.

What it is and who it is for

Local Falcon built its name on geo-grid rank tracking for Google Maps and Apple Maps. AI scans work the same way. You pick a location, a keyword, a grid size from 3x3 (9 points) to 21x21 (441 points) and a radius, then choose AI platforms as data sources: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Grok. Each grid point is one AI sample.

Reports show:

  • Share of AI Voice (SAIV): the share of points where AI mentions the business.
  • Buyer Persuasion Score, from -10 to +10, for how favourably AI describes it.
  • Brand Phrases: the exact wording AI uses, with sentiment and frequency.
  • The sources AI draws on and a Competitor Report of every brand it named instead.

You can run the same keyword on AI platforms and Google Maps and compare SAIV with Share of Local Voice. Integrations include an MCP server, Claude Connector, ChatGPT plugin, REST API, Looker Studio, Zapier and n8n.

Best fit: local SEO agencies and multi-location businesses already running map scans.

What you get per plan

Prices were read on localfalcon.com/pricing and llms.txt on 20 October 2026. Local Falcon sells credits, not seats. One credit is one grid point.

Enterprise$499 to $4,999/moCustom above157,000 to 1,570,000/mo

Every plan has unlimited keywords and locations. New accounts get 100 free credits with no card. Monthly credits expire at the end of each cycle; annual credits expire yearly. Pay-as-you-go credits at $0.05 each never expire.

How fast credits go

This is the number to model before buying. A 9x9 grid uses 81 credits per scan. Ten keywords on that grid, run four times a month, is 3,240 credits for one location on one AI platform. Starter's 7,500 credits covers two such locations, barely. Add a second platform and you have one.

Six variables multiply usage: grid size, keywords, locations (including competitor locations you scan), Falcon AI reports at 25 credits each, platforms and frequency. Local Falcon recommends weekly or bi-weekly scans. Its knowledge base suggests an 11x11 grid (121 points) as a starting point, which pushes the maths further. You can switch off points over water so they do not burn credits.

What works

The sampling model. Most trackers ask once from one place. Local Falcon asks from up to 441 places and shows the answer as a map. For local businesses, that is the right unit of measurement.

AI and map rankings in one account on one credit balance. A local agency does not need a second login.

A low entry price, unlimited keywords and locations, and a real free start.

The integrations reach past the dashboard: MCP, a Claude Connector, Looker Studio, Zapier and n8n.

What to check before paying

The credit meter. Model your grid sizes, keyword counts and platforms first, using the numbers above.

The pages disagree with each other. The pricing page says Falcon Agent is included on all packages from $24.99; llms.txt says it is free on annual and enterprise plans. The Premium credit count appears as both 63,150 and 63,000. The AI visibility page hero names four platforms; its FAQ and llms.txt list Grok as a fifth.

Integrations and the data retrieval API are free above monthly Starter. On-demand API access costs $199 a month plus $0.0032 per request.

Where it falls short of a full AI visibility platform

Local Falcon measures answers by location. It stops at the answer. The pages we read do not describe AI crawler logs, so you cannot see whether ChatGPT's bot is fetching your location pages. They do not describe AI-referred traffic or conversions either, so a better SAIV map cannot be tied to calls or bookings. And it is built around local keywords; a multi-location brand that also competes on national, non-local prompts needs something else for those.

When Promptwatch is the better buy

Promptwatch does not draw a geo-grid. If neighbourhood-level maps are your deliverable, keep Local Falcon for that. What Promptwatch adds is the website side and the non-local side.

Professional at $245 a month includes state and city prompt tracking, 150 prompts across all tracked LLMs, 25M crawler logs and 1M visitor events. Agent Analytics shows ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot fetching your location pages, with error tracking for the pages they fail on. Visitor analytics ties AI referrals to conversions through a script or GTM template, which is the number a multi-location client renews on. Citation analytics shows whether AI leans on your site, a directory, Reddit or YouTube. Content Agents plan, write and publish pages to Webflow, Framer or WordPress from the gaps they find.

For local agencies, the agency Kick-off plan at $199 a month covers unlimited projects and prompts with state and city tracking.

Verdict

Local Falcon: the best tool listed for mapping AI recommendations street by street. Cheap to start, costly to scale, inconsistent pages. Pair it with Promptwatch Professional, or choose Promptwatch alone if city-level prompts plus crawler and conversion data matter more than a grid map.
