GetMint vs AthenaHQ (2026): two action engines, two very different bills
AthenaHQ turns visibility data into an Action Center queue and bills by credit. GetMint pairs a GEO agent with Content Studio on flat euro plans. We compare engines, billing, country limits and output, with Promptwatch as the benchmark.
AthenaHQ and GetMint make the same promise. Track the brand, then tell the team what to do about it. AthenaHQ calls its version the Action Center. GetMint calls it a GEO agent and adds a Content Studio that writes. On paper they look interchangeable.
They are not, and the difference shows up on the invoice. AthenaHQ charges per AI response through credits. GetMint sells flat plans in euros. Both lock their entry tier to a single country. If you run more than one market, or you hate surprise overages, that decides more than any feature list. We benchmark both against Promptwatch, which sells fixed response allowances in dollars.

AthenaHQ: the better queue, the harder budget
AthenaHQ was built by former Google Search and DeepMind engineers and is YC-backed. Its Starter plan lists nine engines, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Grok. Everything rolls into a GEO score. Every insight ends as an assignable task: generate this schema block, restructure that answer section. API access is on Starter, and seats are unlimited on every tier. Revenue attribution runs through GA4, Shopify and Webflow. G2 users rate it around 4.9/5.
Now the bill. One credit buys one AI response, at roughly $0.08, and add-on packs run about $100 per 1,250. Do the arithmetic for a modest setup: 50 prompts on nine engines, checked daily, is 450 responses a day and about 13,500 a month. At $0.08 that is around $1,080 of usage. G2 reviewers describe burning a month's credits in the first week. Starter also stops at one country. Multi-region tracking, personas and the ACE Citation Engine sit on Enterprise, reported at around $2,000+ a month. AthenaHQ offers no Reddit monitoring or crawler analytics.
GetMint: flat price, fewer engines, real output
GetMint's Starter is €74 a month with yearly billing. You get 50+ prompts, 2 topics, 2 AI models, 5 competitors, one country and daily refresh. Growth at €299 lifts that to 300+ prompts, 3 models, 3 countries and unlimited users. No credit math is involved beyond the content allowance (300 credits on Starter, 2,000 on Growth).
GetMint's agent sorts opportunities by expected visibility and citation impact, so a prompt where you are absent can outrank a minor technical fix. Content Studio then writes: one brief and one article a month on Starter, six on Growth. AthenaHQ recommends; GetMint ships drafts. GetMint also tracks ChatGPT Shopping and Alexa for Shopping, and its Sources Explorer maps where answers pull from.
The weak spots are coverage and plumbing. Two models on Starter is a narrow view of AI search. API access is Enterprise only, while AthenaHQ puts it on Starter. GetMint publishes no crawler logs, no visitor analytics and no CMS publishing target.
Who wins which buyer
Pick AthenaHQ if you need nine engines from the first paid month, a team that will work a task queue daily, API access without an enterprise contract, and revenue attribution through Shopify or GA4. Watch credit burn weekly.
Pick GetMint if your budget is under €100 a month, you want articles produced and not just suggested, or you sell through shopping surfaces. Growth is also the cheaper route to three countries, since AthenaHQ sends multi-region buyers to Enterprise.
Neither wins for a team that needs predictable spend and wide engine coverage at the same time. That is the gap Promptwatch fills.
Where Promptwatch fits
Promptwatch has its own answer to the Action Center. Unified Actions is an AI-generated to-do list, and Agent Chat lets you question live visibility data in plain language. The difference is the billing model. Essential at $95/mo includes 6,000 responses and 50 prompts across all tracked LLMs. Professional at $245/mo includes 18,000 responses and 150 prompts. You know the ceiling before the month starts.
Geography is the second difference. Country tracking is on every plan, and state and city tracking start on Professional, with no jump to an enterprise tier. Professional also adds Agent Analytics: crawler logs from ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with the crawl-to-citation path. Citation analytics goes to page level and includes Reddit and YouTube citations, which covers AthenaHQ's missing Reddit view. On the content side, Content Agents publish approved pages straight to Webflow or Framer after a review inbox step, which goes past GetMint's monthly draft allowance.
Where AthenaHQ still leads: automated schema and entity tagging at scale. Promptwatch does not list that feature.
Verdict
AthenaHQ has the stronger workflow and the wider entry coverage. GetMint has the friendlier price and actually writes. Between the two, the right pick depends on whether you can live with credit billing. Our recommendation is to price Promptwatch Professional first. It gives you a to-do list, nine LLMs plus Google's AI surfaces, city-level tracking and crawler logs for $245 a month, with a fixed allowance.
