DemandSphere vs SEOmonitor vs Nightwatch vs Advanced Web Ranking: AI Tracking for Agencies in 2026
Four SEO platforms that bolted AI answer tracking onto rank tracking, compared on price, AI units, engines and refresh. Plus where a dedicated AI visibility layer like Promptwatch fits.
All four tools here sell AI answer tracking on top of SERP tracking: DemandSphere, SEOmonitor, Nightwatch and Advanced Web Ranking. For an agency, the meter on AI tracking decides the cost per client. The second question is whether a bolt-on is enough, or whether you need a dedicated AI visibility layer like Promptwatch.
Facts below come from each tool's entry in this directory's catalog. SEOmonitor's base plan prices are not verified, because its pricing page returned a browser check on 14 October 2026. Promptwatch facts come from its published llms.txt, checked 15 October 2026.

DemandSphere
The strongest SERP data of the four. DemandSphere tracks SERPs and LLM prompts daily from one budget, with Chat Rewind to replay past AI answers, SERP Rewind, pixel depth and 65+ SERP feature types. API access, GSC, GA4, Google Drive and Slack come on every plan. Starter is $79/mo billed annually or $95 monthly for 1,000 keywords, 100 prompts or a mix such as 500 keywords plus 50 prompts. Pro is $208/mo annually or $250 monthly for 2.5 times that.
The catch is the exchange rate: every prompt costs ten keywords. It is the only tool here with a crawler-log product (Analytics AX, with AI bot detection), but that is an Enterprise add-on billed for storage. The pricing buttons lead to a demo form.
SEOmonitor
The most coherent fit for agencies that report on keyword campaigns. Each tracked keyword becomes one natural question, asked weekly in a fresh session and weighted by Google search volume, next to forecasting and daily AI Overview detection. The add-on math is published (1,000 keywords on three models is €57 a month). AI Search runs on a site's whole keyword list, though, and is Pro-only. The AI Visibility Index covers only the UK and Romania.
Nightwatch
The local specialist. Nightwatch tracks Google, Bing, YouTube, DuckDuckGo and Google Maps across 107,000+ locations, with unlimited seats, white-label reporting and API access. Its AI layer covers six surfaces with citation mapping and sentiment. The limit is the prompt cap: 50 on Starter (€79), 150 on Professional (€159), 500 on Agency (€399). Fine as a client-report column. Thin as a GEO program.
Advanced Web Ranking
The broadest classic coverage: 4,000+ search engines in 170+ countries, plus AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, with an AIO Citation Rank metric. Every dimension multiplies units. AWR's own docs price 15 topics on 4 LLMs, weekly, at 12,000 units a month. Pro gives 7,000 units a week, so that modest setup takes roughly two-fifths of Pro's capacity before any SERP tracking. Agency is $279 for 14,500 units a week. Enterprise runs $699 to $980.
Which bolt-on to pick
SERP-first agency that wants daily LLM data and an API: DemandSphere. Keyword-campaign agency that forecasts: SEOmonitor. Local agency with many small clients: Nightwatch. Multi-market agency that will model units in a spreadsheet: Advanced Web Ranking.
Where Promptwatch fits
All four are SEO tools first. None of our entries for them documents visitor analytics for AI-referred conversions, or a pipeline that publishes GEO pages to a CMS. SEOmonitor has a content writer, but drafting is not the same as publishing and re-measuring. Only DemandSphere offers crawler logs, and only on Enterprise. If AI visibility is a separate line on your client reports, that is the gap.
Promptwatch's agency plans are self-serve: Kick-off $199/mo (7-day trial), Growth $399, Scale $799. All three include unlimited projects and prompts and ten seats, with 10,000, 25,000 or 65,000 responses and 10M, 25M or 100M crawler logs. No per-keyword meter, no prompt cap per client.
What it adds: prompts with volumes, difficulty, fan-outs, personas and city targeting. Citation analytics down to page, Reddit and YouTube. Agent Analytics for ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler through Cloudflare, Fastly, Vercel and other CDNs. Visitor analytics for AI-referred conversions. Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer through a review inbox. Classic SERP rank tracking is not on Promptwatch's published feature list, so keep your rank tracker and add Promptwatch next to it. Start on Kick-off.
FAQ
