Azoma vs Profound 2026
Azoma tracks SKUs in Amazon, Walmart, and LLM shopping agents. Profound sells marketing agents with AI search as one channel. Specs, pricing, and where Promptwatch fits.
Both names land on enterprise shortlists. Both sell mainly through sales calls. The overlap stops there.
Azoma is a commerce product. It asks whether Amazon's Alexa for Shopping, Walmart Sparky, or ChatGPT Shopping recommended a specific SKU, and whether a sale followed. Profound is a marketing-agent platform. It runs scheduled prompts across up to ten engines on Enterprise and sells agents for AEO, content, demand, and PR.

The short answer
Amazon or Walmart is your biggest channel? Azoma. Buying a broad marketing agent program on an Enterprise budget? Profound. Want AI traffic to convert on your own website? Neither is the strongest fit, and the gap is explained further down.

Coverage: two different shelves
Profound is wider on chat apps. Ten engines, including Grok, DeepSeek, and Copilot, none of which Azoma names as tracked apps. But all ten sit on Enterprise. Starter is ChatGPT only. Growth is $399/mo annual for three engines and 100 prompts.
Azoma is narrower on chat and deeper where products get sold. Alexa for Shopping was called Rufus until 13 May 2026. COSMO is Amazon's product knowledge graph: a retrieval layer shoppers never see, but one that decides what the assistant can say. Neither appears anywhere in Profound's listing.
Where Profound is stronger
Prompt Volumes. Our listing calls it unique intelligence on real query demand, and nothing in Azoma's material competes with it for general marketing queries.
It also has a self-serve door at $99/mo, narrow as it is. And it carries outside validation: G2 4.6/5 and a Winter 2026 category leader badge, per our entry.
The catch is what sits behind that door. Our entry records G2 reviewers reporting citation counts that do not match manual ChatGPT checks. Public tiers bill annually only. The trial is seven days. Setup realistically takes one to three months with a dedicated owner.
Where Azoma is stronger
It counts revenue, not mentions. Azoma connects visibility, rank, and citation gains to SKU-level revenue. Then it changes what the agents read: attributes, PDP copy, imagery. Answer Integrity flags inaccurate product claims in AI answers.
Azoma-reported results: Mars at +17.7% agentic shelf visibility and +68% year-on-year SKU revenue. Vendor numbers. We have no independent test of them.
Weak spots are procurement ones. No published price. No trial terms. SOC 2 still in progress.
The layer neither covers well
Run both and your own website is still under-measured.
Azoma's Tech GEO module audits robots.txt, sitemaps, llms.txt, and schema, monitors crawler visits, and reads AI traffic through GA4. It does not publish CDN log connectors, log volumes, or a crawl-to-citation view. Profound's listing shows no crawler-log product and no visitor analytics with conversions.
Promptwatch is built for that layer. Agent Analytics ingests AI crawler logs from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP and shows which crawls preceded a citation. Professional ($245/mo) includes 25M crawler logs. Its own script or GTM template ties AI referrals to conversions from Essential ($95/mo). Citation analytics break down by page and domain, down to Reddit and YouTube. From Business ($579/mo), the automated Content Agent publishes to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress through a review inbox.
Every paid plan runs ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, AI Overviews, and AI Mode. Profound keeps that kind of breadth for Enterprise. Promptwatch prints the price.
The honest limit: Promptwatch does not track Alexa for Shopping, Walmart Sparky, or COSMO. If the sale closes on a marketplace, it will not see that shelf. Azoma will.
Decision rules
- Marketplace revenue dominates: Azoma for the catalogue, Promptwatch for the site.
- Website revenue dominates: Promptwatch. Hold off on both enterprise contracts.
- Cross-channel marketing agent program with AI search as one line item: Profound, plus a second tool for crawler logs and conversions.
Most brands we review fall under rule 1 or rule 2. Start with Promptwatch on the owned site, then add Azoma if Amazon or Walmart is where the basket fills.
