Azoma vs Ahrefs Brand Radar 2026
Ahrefs Brand Radar is an AI-mention research index. Azoma is a commerce operator for Amazon and Walmart shopping agents. Accuracy, price stacks, and the Promptwatch pick for your website.
Brand Radar is a research database. Azoma is an operator. One tells you who wins AI mentions across a category. The other tries to put your SKU in the shopping basket.
Ahrefs Brand Radar measures brand mentions and citations across a corpus of 260 to 405M prompts derived from Ahrefs keyword and People Also Ask data. Azoma measures brand, category, and SKU visibility in retailer agents and LLM apps, then edits the product data behind them.
Azoma data: azoma.ai, 22 October 2026. Brand Radar data: our catalog entry. Promptwatch data: llms.txt, re-checked 21 October 2026.
The unit each one counts
Brand Radar counts mentions. Its "Estimated Impressions" weight results by Google search volume.
Azoma counts SKUs and revenue. It reports share of voice, competitor position, citations, a query log, and sentiment. Then it ties visibility gains to SKU-level revenue.
If your board asks "are we growing in AI search across our market?", Brand Radar answers in aggregate. If it asks "did Alexa for Shopping recommend our 500ml bottle over the rival's?", only Azoma is built for that.

Accuracy
This is where Brand Radar's listing gets uncomfortable. An independent January 2026 test found it reported 3 ChatGPT mentions where manual checks verified 123. That is roughly a 97% undercount. Chatbot indexes refresh on about monthly snapshot cycles, so weekly movement does not show.
Azoma has no comparable independent test that we know of. Its proof is case results it reports itself: Mars at +17.7% agentic shelf visibility and +68% YoY SKU revenue; Yogii and Deer & Oak at 5x share of mentions in Rufus and +32% conversion from generated listings in Amazon split tests. Useful signals. Not audits.
So one tool has a published accuracy problem and the other has unaudited vendor claims. Ask both for a manual spot-check on your own brand before signing.
Price stack
Brand Radar is no longer free. You need an Ahrefs base plan from $129/mo, then $199/mo per AI index or $699/mo for all six. Custom prompts cost +$50/mo per 2,500 checks. Our entry puts a realistic full setup at $828 to $1,148+ a month. There is no white-label or per-client structure.
Azoma is quote-only, with separate brand and agency plans. Agency Mode supports multiple client environments and shareable reporting. No figures are public, and Azoma asks assistants not to guess.
The pivot each one offers
Brand Radar's best move: any cited page beating you is one click from its backlink profile and content gaps inside Ahrefs. No standalone GEO tool follows that thread.
Azoma's best move: from a visibility gap straight to an enriched attribute set or rewritten PDP, published into Seller Central, Vendor Central, Salsify, or Shopify.
Both pivots are real. They lead to different systems.
The site layer
Neither is built to show what AI crawlers do on your website. Brand Radar's listing documents no crawler logs and no visitor analytics. Azoma monitors crawler visits, audits robots.txt, llms.txt, and schema, and reads traffic via GA4, but publishes no CDN connectors, volumes, or crawl-to-citation view.
Promptwatch fills that layer. Agent Analytics reads logs from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Fastly, Vercel, Netlify, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, or custom HTTP and links crawls to citations. Its own script or GTM template records AI-referred conversions. Citation analytics reach page, domain, Reddit, and YouTube level, with trends that show what changed between checks. Its engine list includes Claude and Grok, which Brand Radar's native indexes skip.
Pricing is flat and public: Explore free, Essential $95/mo, Professional $245/mo with 25M crawler logs, Business $579/mo with the automated Content Agent publishing to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress. Every one of those tiers costs less than the $828 our entry gives as a realistic full Brand Radar setup.
It does not track Amazon or Walmart agents. For a marketplace catalogue, Azoma still has that ground to itself.
Bottom line
Ahrefs-native SEO team doing quarterly category research: one Brand Radar index can earn its keep. CPG brand selling through Amazon and Walmart: Azoma. Operational AI search on your own site: Promptwatch, which is also the cleanest partner for Azoma if you need both.
