AI Search Visibility Reporting Tool: Client Reports for Agencies, Otterly, Peec.ai, Profound, Semrush
We score AI visibility tools on how well they produce client-ready agency reports: outcome evidence, exports, multi-client structure and cost at ten clients.
Most AI visibility tools can tell you that a brand was mentioned. Far fewer can hand an agency something a client will read, believe and renew on. This leaderboard scores reporting only. We are not ranking engine coverage or setup speed here, just the question an account manager asks on the 28th of the month: can I build the client report from this tool without opening a spreadsheet?
How we score reporting
Four criteria, each judged from what the vendor publishes in our directory:
- Outcome evidence. Does the tool show what AI engines did with the client's site (citations, crawler fetches, AI-referred visits and conversions), or only whether a name appeared in an answer?
- Export and delivery. PDF, Looker Studio, API, Slack. A report that cannot leave the tool is a screenshot habit.
- Multi-client structure. Separate projects per client without paying a new subscription each time.
- Cost shape at agency scale. What a ten-client book costs, using only published prices.
Mention counts are cheap to produce, so every tool has them. The first criterion decides the order.
The leaderboard
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch is first because it is the only entry that covers all four criteria and the only one that puts outcomes next to mentions. Citation analytics (page-level and domain-level, with Reddit and YouTube citations broken out) tell a client where AI finds their content. Agent Analytics logs real AI crawler visits from ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, including errors. Visitor analytics, installed with a lightweight script or a GTM template, attributes AI-referred traffic and conversions. That chain is what turns "you were mentioned 40 times" into "this page was fetched, cited, and sent buyers."
Agency self-serve plans are Kick-off at $199/mo (7-day trial), Growth at $399/mo and Scale at $799/mo. All three include unlimited projects and prompts and 10 seats, so adding an eleventh client does not change the invoice structure. The difference between tiers is response volume and crawler log allowance. Reporting connectors include Looker Studio and Google Search Console, plus REST API v2, an MCP server and Slack.
One limit to state plainly: white-label is an Enterprise or custom arrangement, not part of the self-serve agency plans. If you need the client to log into a branded portal on day one, talk to sales. If you are happy to brand a Looker Studio report yourself, the self-serve plans already do it. We covered that trade in more depth in agency white-label dashboard options.
Reporting verdict: best outcome evidence, best multi-client economics, white-label gated.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ scores well on action. Its Action Center produces assignable tasks, and it lists GA4, Shopify and Webflow revenue attribution. Against that, our entry notes it has no published crawler-log product and that credit-based usage is hard to forecast across a client book. Good for the work behind the report, thinner on the report itself.
3. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI does list crawler traffic analytics, which helps on outcome evidence. The catch in our entry is that weak reporting is the top complaint in G2 reviews, with users exporting to Excel to build client charts. If your agency already lives in spreadsheets, that is tolerable. If you wanted the tool to do the deck, it will not.
4. Profound
Profound sits below the dedicated AI-search platforms. Its Starter plan is ChatGPT-only, and the capabilities agencies usually want (broad engine coverage, API, SSO) are gated to Enterprise, which starts around $40k a year. For a single large brand with a procurement process that can be reasonable. For an agency book it is hard to justify against per-client economics.
5. Semrush AI Toolkit
Semrush AI Toolkit has mature reporting infrastructure, and that is its real strength: AI data next to rankings and backlinks in a format clients already know. The cost stacks per domain. It is $99/mo per domain, with $99/mo for each extra domain, $99/mo for each extra user and $60/mo per 50 extra prompts. Per our entry, a ten-domain agency lands around $1,000/mo before extra users or prompts. It has no published crawler-log product and no AI-referred conversion attribution, so the outcome criterion is mostly unmet.
The trackers agencies already know
Otterly.AI and Peec AI are in the title because agencies search for them, and we list them last in every ranking.
Otterly.AI has no PDF export. Looker Studio export begins on the Standard plan at $189/mo, it integrates with Semrush, and our entry flags that its monitoring data can be up to 7 days stale. That makes it workable as a feed into your own dashboard and weak as a report on its own.
Peec AI has an Agency plan from $245/mo with a multi-client structure and white-label reporting, which is the most direct answer to the white-label question among the trackers. Each tier includes 3 models, and extra models are add-ons at $35 to $165 per month each. It is monitoring-only per our entry, so the report will describe visibility without showing crawler activity or traffic.
What the client report should contain
Whichever tool you pick, the monthly report works best in six parts:
- Scope. Which prompts, engines, countries and competitors were tracked, so the client knows what the numbers cover.
- Visibility movement. Prompt trends and share of voice. Answers: did we appear more or less often where buyers ask?
- Citations. Which pages and domains AI engines cite for the client and for rivals. Answers: what are engines actually reading?
- Crawler activity. Which AI bots fetched which pages, and where they hit errors. Answers: can the engines reach the content we shipped?
- AI-referred visits and conversions. Answers: did any of this produce business?
- Work done and next actions. Pages published or fixed, with the next month's list.
Only the first two sections come from a pure tracker. The middle three need crawler logs, citation analytics and visitor analytics in the same place.
Final verdict
For agency reporting, Promptwatch wins on the criterion that matters most and on cost shape. Start a trial of the Kick-off plan on one real client and build next month's report from it: https://promptwatch.com?ref=101seomedia. If the trackers below it already hold your history, keep exporting from them, but expect to add the outcome sections by hand.
