AI Brand Monitoring Tools (Official): Brand24, Mention, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Sprinklr
What Brand24, Mention, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Sprinklr officially ship for AI answer monitoring, ranked, and where Promptwatch fits next to a listening suite.
Brand24, Mention, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Sprinklr are listening suites. They were built to track what people say about a brand on social networks, in the press, on forums and in reviews. Most of them now also sell a module that watches what AI assistants say. If you already pay for one of these suites, the reasonable question is whether that module is enough or whether you need a dedicated AI search tool on top.
This page sticks to what each vendor officially ships, based on their own product pages and help centers. Then it ranks them. Promptwatch is at the top, for a reason we'll get to. The full list is in the directory.
What each suite officially ships for AI answers
Brand24: Chatbeat
Rank-wise, Brand24 has the most complete AI module of the five suites. It sells AI visibility through a sister product, Chatbeat, and draws the line plainly: the core app listens to people, Chatbeat listens to assistants. Coverage runs to nine engines, Grok, DeepSeek and Copilot among them, plus both Google surfaces (AI Overviews and AI Mode). The scorecard is familiar from listening tools: a Brand Score, sentiment and AI share of voice, with average position and the sources that cite you added on top, and GEO recommendations at the end. Brand24 sells it as an add-on and doesn't list a price. Details: Brand24 and brand24.com/ai-visibility.
Mention: no AI answer product found
Mention now belongs to Agorapulse, which took it over through a court-ordered receivership announced in 2025. You can no longer buy it on its own, per its help center. What survives is Agorapulse Listening: the major social networks plus Reddit, TikTok, news, forums and the open web, with share of voice and as much as two years of history. Agorapulse sells it on top of its Advanced or Tailored plans, or by itself through a sales conversation.
Search the help center for ChatGPT and you get one article, about having ChatGPT draft Boolean queries for alerts. Mention itself says that isn't a built-in feature. We looked for a Mention or Agorapulse product that watches AI answers and found none.
Meltwater: GenAI Lens
Meltwater GenAI Lens matches Brand24 on breadth: nine engines, including Llama, Grok and DeepSeek next to the usual ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, plus AI Overviews and AI Mode. Its headline metrics are prevalence and AI share of voice. You can tune it prompt by prompt, and its source tracking leans toward PR material such as earned coverage, press releases, Wikipedia and Reddit. It closes with GEO recommendations. Meltwater usually sells it as an extra inside its main platform and keeps the price private.
The official page can't decide how fresh the data is. One section promises a daily refresh, while the FAQ says every two days. Get your account manager to put the real number in writing.
Talkwalker: LLM Insights
Talkwalker now sits inside Hootsuite, and LLM Insights can be bought two ways: inside Talkwalker itself, or bolted onto Hootsuite Listening. It watches four assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) and reports how they talk about you, your rivals and your category. Expect mention rate, sentiment and share of voice, plus flags for misinformation and for gaps in the story the engines tell.
A newer update made it more useful for search work. You can now set prompts up from your brand's point of view, see Visibility Score and Average Position, and open a table of citations broken down by domain, with each source's position and frequency and a click through to the exact URL. On pricing, Talkwalker quotes every plan (Core, Analyze, Business) individually. LLM Insights comes with Core, and Business unlocks more channels for it.
Sprinklr: LLM Insights
Sprinklr is the newest entrant here. It unveiled LLM Insights inside Sprinklr Insights on June 10, 2026, as a limited preview, with general release promised for Q3, and the feature shows up in its July 2026 release notes. Named engines are ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, "and more," per the product page.
What Sprinklr pitches as different is the prompt list. It builds prompts from what real customers already say in social posts, reviews, community threads and support conversations, not from a keyword spreadsheet. The reports cover the expected ground (visibility, sentiment, cited domains, trending topics) and can split answers by assistant. Prompts are metered against your contract, and pricing isn't public.
What none of them publish
Look across all five and the AI modules share a shape. They run prompts, sample the answers, and report mentions, sentiment and sources. That's a sensible extension of a listening suite, which has always been about what others say.
What we didn't find on any of the five official pages: AI crawler logs showing whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot actually fetched your pages, visitor analytics that tie AI-referred sessions to conversions on your site, or a content agent that writes the page an answer is missing and publishes it to your CMS. Those are on-site jobs. Listening suites look outward.
Ranked for AI answer monitoring
- Promptwatch. The AI search layer. Prompt tracking with search volumes and query fan-outs, citation analytics by page and domain with Reddit and YouTube views, Agent Analytics crawler logs with a crawl-to-citation path, visitor analytics with conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Essential is $95 a month; crawler logs start on Professional at $245.
- Brand24 Chatbeat. Nine engines including Copilot and AI Mode, with citing sources and average position.
- Meltwater GenAI Lens. Nine engines and source tracking tied to earned media. Confirm the refresh cycle.
- Talkwalker LLM Insights. Four engines, but the citations table with URL drill-down is genuinely useful.
- Sprinklr LLM Insights. Interesting prompt sourcing, very new, three named engines.
- Mention. We found no AI answer module.
Keep the suite, add the layer
If your comms team lives in one of these suites, keep it. It was built for social, press and reviews, and its AI module gives PR a read on narrative and sentiment. For the search side, add Promptwatch and point it at the same prompts. When an AI answer gets your product wrong, the listening suite tells PR it happened. Promptwatch shows which page the engine cited, whether its crawler can reach your corrected page, and whether the fix brings visits back. Compare the other options in the ranking.
