ChatRank review: pricing, features & alternatives
Ranked #157AI search tracker with weekly content recommendations from an AI agent, from $499/mo.
Our verdict
ChatRank is built for small teams that want to be told what to publish each week, and it bundles the editor to write it. The price is the hurdle: $499 a month buys 20 topics on ChatGPT and Google with weekly data, and competitor tracking and wider engine coverage sit on the $999 tier. Get API access confirmed in writing before buying Power, because the page contradicts itself. For more prompts per dollar plus AI crawler logs and AI-referred conversion tracking, Promptwatch's Professional plan at $245/mo is the better starting point.
Best for: Small in-house teams that want weekly, ready-to-write recommendations and an editor in the same tool, and can afford a $499 entry.
ChatRank (chatrank.ai) is an AI search optimization platform from co-founders Jon Mest (CEO) and Joe Delgado (CTO), who started it after Google AI Overviews pushed down the search traffic of their PR software company, Just Reach Out, in August 2024. The entry plan tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews; higher tiers add Perplexity and other models, and the about page also names Claude. Prompts are grouped into topics, and a proprietary agent called ReLU turns the data into weekly content and social recommendations. The pitch is that a lean team spends one hour a week supplying input.
Pricing is published (read on 14 October 2026): Plus $499/mo, Pro $999/mo and Power $1,999/mo on monthly billing, or $416, $833 and $1,666 a month when paid annually upfront ($4,990, $9,990 and $19,990). Every plan has unlimited users. Plus tracks 20 topics with weekly updates, Pro 100 topics, and Power 200 topics with daily updates.
ChatRank covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.
What the pricing page publishes
chatrank.ai/pricing, chatrank.ai and chatrank.ai/about (read 14 October 2026). Plus is $499/mo billed monthly or $416/mo billed annually ($4,990 upfront) and covers 20 topics, weekly updates, ChatGPT and Google Overviews tracking, a dedicated Slack channel and up to 5 content recommendations a week. Pro is $999/mo or $833/mo annually ($9,990) and moves to 100 topics, ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity and more, competitor tracking, Shopify and WordPress plugins and up to 15 content and social recommendations a week. Power is $1,999/mo or $1,666/mo annually ($19,990) with 200 topics, daily updates and up to 30 recommendations a week.
The annual price is exactly ten months of the monthly price, paid in one go. All three plans have unlimited users. The Power card is subtitled with API access, while the comparison table lists API access as Enterprise only, so ask before you count on it. ChatRank also offers a free 30-minute discovery call.
The one-hour-a-week model
ChatRank's angle is execution help for teams without a marketing department. Its agent, ReLU, identifies blog posts to publish, Reddit threads to engage with and review sites to improve, then asks you questions so it can draft the rest. The comparison table lists a content editor, premium templates, AI chat, rephrase and rewrite, AI detection, brand voice, style guides, collaboration and version history, plus a site audit and llms.txt generation and hosting.
The tracking side is thinner than the price suggests. Pricing names ChatGPT and Google on Plus and stops at "Perplexity and more" on the higher tiers, without a full engine list. The testimonials on the site (for example 30% visibility growth in 34 days for Tip Top K9) are vendor-published quotes we have not audited.

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not
ChatRank's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).
The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI engines does ChatRank track?
Plus tracks ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. Pro and Power list ChatGPT, Google, Perplexity and more. The about page says ChatRank monitors ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude and Perplexity, but the pricing page does not publish a complete per-plan engine list.
Does ChatRank include API access?
The page is inconsistent. The Power plan card mentions API access, while the plan comparison table marks API access as Enterprise only. Confirm with ChatRank before buying Power for the API.
How does ChatRank's annual billing work?
Annual plans are billed as one upfront payment: $4,990 for Plus, $9,990 for Pro and $19,990 for Power. That is ten months of the monthly price for twelve months of access.
Does ChatRank include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?
Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask ChatRank to demo the equivalent.
Can ChatRank show AI-referred traffic and conversions?
Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.
Does ChatRank publish GEO articles to a CMS?
Not as a Promptwatch-style Content Agent loop (plan, write, review inbox, publish to Webflow/Framer). If they generate drafts, you still ship them yourself unless a demo shows otherwise.
Does ChatRank document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?
This listing documents at least part of prompt intelligence (volume, difficulty, fan-outs, personas, or geo) for ChatRank.
Does ChatRank track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?
Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.
ChatRank vs Promptwatch?
Use ChatRank for the job this review describes. Promptwatch is the end-to-end alternative when you also need crawler logs, citation depth (including Reddit and YouTube), AI-referred conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
