First Answer Alternatives (2026): 6 AI Visibility Tools Ranked

First Answer starts at $135/mo for two engines and one brand. Six alternatives ranked on engine coverage, crawler data, conversions and price, with Promptwatch first.

First Answer is a GEO tracker from Brazil, founded in 2025 by Johanna Goulart (CEO) and Rodrigo Beckmann (CTO). It scores mention rate, share of voice, answer position and sentiment, shows cited sources, and turns the data into prioritized action plans. Prices are public, in USD, billed monthly. Most reasons to look elsewhere sit in the plan table.

Why teams look past First Answer

Figures from firstanswer.ai/pricing-plans, read 15 October 2026:

Two engines for $135 is the first problem. Essential skips Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and both Google AI surfaces. Claude and AI Mode need the quoted Enterprise plan. Pro's five models are listed inconsistently: the plan card names Grok, the FAQ names Copilot instead.

One brand per self-serve plan stops agencies and multi-brand groups on day one. The 7-day trial on Essential and Pro needs a credit card.

Crawler data is the subtle one. First Answer lists "AI traffic and crawler logs" as a feature, which many trackers don't. Its pages don't name the bots, describe a crawl-to-citation path, or tie AI traffic to conversions. Content tops out at one or two AI-generated pieces a month, with no CMS publishing described.

1. Promptwatch

Promptwatch fixes First Answer's biggest gap for less money. Essential is $95/mo with a 7-day trial, and its 50 prompts run across all tracked LLMs: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral and Copilot. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are monitored too. That is $40 less than First Answer Essential, with nine LLMs instead of two, refreshed daily.

Agent Analytics, from Professional at $245/mo, logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther and the Meta AI crawler, with a crawl-to-citation path and error tracking. Visitor analytics ties AI-referred sessions to conversions through a script or GTM template. Content Agents plan, write and publish to Webflow or Framer from a review inbox. Professional also adds state and city tracking. Agencies that hit the one-brand wall can start on Kick-off at $199/mo with unlimited projects, also with a 7-day trial.

2. AthenaHQ

AthenaHQ is the closest match to First Answer's action-plan habit. Its Action Center turns visibility data into assignable tasks such as schema generation and content reformatting. It tracks Claude and DeepSeek alongside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews, and lists GA4, Shopify and Webflow revenue attribution. After the free tier, Starter is $295/mo ($245 annual), credit-based and single-country.

3. Scrunch AI

Scrunch AI takes a different route. Its Agent Experience Platform serves AI-optimized versions of your pages to LLM crawlers without changing the human-facing site. Starter is $250/mo on annual billing or $300 monthly, with three seats. Data refreshes weekly, slower than First Answer's daily updates. Sitecore acquired it in June 2026.

4. Profound

Profound is the enterprise swap. Starter is $99/mo billed yearly, ChatGPT only, 50 prompts. Growth is $399/mo yearly for three engines and 100 prompts. Up to ten engines, full Prompt Volumes and the marketing agents for AEO, content, demand and PR sit on Enterprise, from around $40k a year. It sells an agent program more than a tracker.

5. Rankscale

Rankscale is the cheapest way to see more engines than First Answer Essential. $20/mo buys 120 credits and access to 17+ engines. The catch is the meter: credit burn varies roughly 8x by engine. GEO readiness audits score pages for machine readability, though Rankscale's own docs suggest 30-day rolling averages because scores move between runs. API and white-label start at $385/mo.

6. GetMint

GetMint is a French platform with a GEO agent that ranks next moves and a Content Studio that writes briefs and articles. Starter is €74/mo on yearly billing, with 2 AI models, one country and one brief plus one article a month. Its free trial needs no card. It also tracks ChatGPT Shopping and Alexa for Shopping. The entry ceiling looks a lot like First Answer's: two models.

How to choose

Start with engine count. If two engines at entry is the dealbreaker, Promptwatch Essential covers every tracked LLM at $95, and Rankscale covers more for $20 if you can live with credit math.

Then ask what happens after a lost prompt. AthenaHQ assigns tasks. Promptwatch writes and publishes the page. First Answer hands you a plan and leaves the shipping to you.

If you need to see which bot fetched which page before a citation appeared, Promptwatch Professional documents it. With First Answer, ask for the bot list in a demo.

Stay with First Answer if Brazil is your main market and Portuguese support matters, or if you want real-time monitoring and can buy Enterprise.

Verdict

First Answer is a tidy local-market tracker with honest monthly pricing and narrow self-serve tiers. For most teams replacing it, Promptwatch is the first trial to run: more engines for less, plus named crawler logs, conversions and publishing in one account. Start on the free Explore plan.
