Brand Monitoring Tools for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude
Ten brand monitoring tools ranked on one test: does the plan you'd actually buy cover ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude? Claude status, refresh cadence, and entry price, all from catalog data.
Three assistants, one question: is your brand in the answer? Most trackers cover ChatGPT. Most cover Perplexity. Claude is the column that splits the field. Of the ten tools below, three name Claude on a self-serve plan with a published price. Two name it but leave a gap: Cognizo doesn't say which engines its entry plan includes, and Brand24 doesn't publish a price. Three put Claude on Enterprise. One doesn't name its engines at all, and one says Claude isn't in its native indexes.
Scoring rules for this board:
- Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity on the entry paid plan, as named in the tool's catalog entry, scores highest. Enterprise-only scores lower. "Not published" scores lowest.
- Stated refresh cadence counts. Daily beats weekly. Weekly beats monthly.
- What sits next to the answer counts: citations, crawler evidence, traffic and conversions.
- Directory rules apply. Profound ranks below the dedicated AI-search platforms.
Promptwatch facts come from its published plan sheet. Everything else comes from the directory entry.

"Listed" for Cognizo means the engine is on its full list, but the $499 Platform plan covers 5 platforms and the entry doesn't say which five.
1. Promptwatch
Promptwatch runs real UI monitoring across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. On paid plans every prompt runs on every tracked LLM. Refresh is daily. Essential: $95/mo, 50 prompts, 6,000 responses. Professional: $245/mo, 150 prompts, 18,000 responses, 25M crawler logs. Business: $579/mo, 350 prompts, 42,000 responses. Annual billing is 12 months for the price of 10. Free Explore is ChatGPT only, 10 prompts.
Beyond mentions: citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, and YouTube level. Sentiment and share of voice. Agent Analytics crawler logs covering ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and ChatGPT's crawlers, with crawl-to-citation path and error tracking. Visitor analytics with conversions. Verdict: the only entry on this board that scores on all three tests.
2. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and AI Overviews. Starter: $295/mo ($245 annual), 9 engines, one country, credit-based. Action Center turns gaps into tasks. The entry states no crawler analytics. Verdict: full three-engine coverage, single-market at entry.
3. Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI offers up to nine engines on Enterprise and doesn't name them. Starter: $250/mo annual ($300 monthly), 350 custom prompts. Credits burn per engine. Refresh is weekly per the entry. The Agent Experience Platform serves AI-optimized pages to crawlers. Verdict: strong crawler-side idea; confirm Claude in writing.
4. Cognizo
Cognizo lists ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude, Meta AI, and Grok, run continuously. Platform: $499/mo, 150 prompts, 5 platforms, 8 AI articles a month, AI traffic analytics, MCP and API. Verdict: ask which five platforms you get before you count Claude.
5. xSeek
xSeek puts 7 listed engines on Starter, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude. Starter: $249.99/mo, 50 prompts, one website, a dedicated account specialist. No public free trial; you book a call. Verdict: Claude at entry, but you pay for the human.
6. Brand24
Brand24 adds AI Visibility on top of social listening: 9 engines including ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, plus Events Detector email and Slack alerts. Add-on price not published. Verdict: right for PR teams already in Brand24, unrankable on price.
7. Profound
Profound Starter: $99/mo annual, ChatGPT only, 50 prompts. Growth: $399/mo annual, 3 engines, which ones not stated. Claude and Perplexity are on the Enterprise list of up to 10 engines, from about $40k a year. Verdict: not a three-engine tool below Enterprise.
8. LLM Pulse
LLM Pulse runs 5 engines on every plan, ChatGPT and Perplexity included. Claude is an Enterprise add-on. Starter: €49/mo annual, 50 prompts, unlimited seats, MCP. Default cadence is weekly; daily costs more. Verdict: cheap two-out-of-three.
9. Gauge
Gauge Growth: $599/mo, 600 prompts daily across 6 engines, ChatGPT and Perplexity among them. Claude and Grok are Enterprise. Verdict: best answer volume here, wrong plan for a Claude brief.
10. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs Brand Radar needs Ahrefs from $129/mo, then $199/mo per AI index or $699/mo for six. The entry says no Claude in native indexes and about monthly chatbot refreshes. Verdict: an SEO add-on, not a Claude monitor.
What "covered" means per engine
A checkmark in the table means the tool sends your prompts to that assistant and parses the answer. Three variables decide whether the number means anything.
Prompt set. Same strings in all three engines. Category, comparison, and unbranded problem prompts. If ChatGPT and Claude get different wordings, you're comparing two experiments.
Context. Personas change who is asking. Country, state, and city change where. In Promptwatch, country tracking is on every paid plan and state and city start on Business, plus every agency plan.
Cadence. Answers change between runs. Weekly sampling gives you four points a month. Daily gives you a trend line. Promptwatch's prompt trends show what changed between checks, which is the view you need when a mention disappears.
Crawl access is the other half. Each engine has its own crawlers:
- OpenAI: OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search, GPTBot for training, ChatGPT-User for user-triggered visits.
- Perplexity: PerplexityBot for search, not training. Perplexity-User for user requests; it "generally ignores robots.txt rules."
- Anthropic: ClaudeBot, Claude-User, and Claude-SearchBot. Each is blocked separately, per subdomain.
Our Claude citation crawler growth data shows why that Claude row deserves attention.
Missing or negative: the checks, in order
- Open the raw answer. Note which competitors were named and which URLs were cited.
- Check crawl access for that engine. A training opt-out for ClaudeBot shouldn't also block Claude-SearchBot.
- Check crawler logs. Did the engine's bot fetch the page you expected to be cited? Did it hit an error?
- Check for a content gap. No page that answers the prompt means nothing to cite.
- For negative framing, find the cited source that carries it and fix that page, yours or a third party's.
- Re-check after a fix. OpenAI says robots.txt changes for search take about 24 hours; Perplexity says up to 24 hours.
Steps 1 through 5 map to Promptwatch features: citation analytics, Agent Analytics, content gap analysis, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow, Framer, or WordPress behind a review inbox. Step 6 is the daily refresh. None of the other entries on this board documents all six steps in one product.
