Adaptify vs Promptwatch: Agency GEO Automation or AI Visibility Platform?

Adaptify sells SEO content, backlinks and GEO tracking at $499 per site with a 14-day refresh. Promptwatch leads on measurement and still publishes content. A numbers-first comparison for 2026.

This is not a like-for-like pair. Adaptify is an agency SEO production platform that added GEO: it writes articles, publishes them, places backlinks and fixes technical SEO, with AI visibility as one module. Promptwatch is an AI visibility platform that measures first and then publishes. The question is which job you are buying for.

Adaptify facts come from our catalog entry, read from adaptify.ai on 14 October 2026. Promptwatch facts come from its published llms.txt, checked 15 October 2026.

The case for Adaptify

Adaptify closes a loop that most trackers leave open. It generates prompts from the client's site, keywords, location and competitors. You can add your own or bulk-import a CSV. All five engines run in one automated pass, and each prompt gets a GEO Potential Score from 0 to 100, built from position, coverage, competition and content opportunity. High scorers go into a 7-stage article pipeline. The article publishes to the client's CMS, and the next cycle re-tests the prompt.

The CMS list is long. WordPress is on it today, which Promptwatch lists as coming soon. Add monthly PR backlinks, keyword research, technical SEO fixes, local SEO and unlimited seats, and $499 buys a lot of production. Multi-Site adds a white-label client portal on your own domain, client approvals and branded reports with AI summaries. Billing has no credits or point systems, though unlimited content is subject to fair use.

Where Adaptify falls short on measurement

The 14-day cycle is the big one. It suits publish and re-test. It will not show you what changed this week, and a two-week gap is long when a competitor's page starts getting cited.

The rest is missing detail. No prompt allowance is published, so you cannot size a client before you buy. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are not on the engine list. Our catalog entry does not document AI crawler logs, AI-referred conversions, prompt volumes or citation analytics at page, Reddit or YouTube level. The about page reports 1,000+ agencies, 525K+ articles and 25,000+ backlinks. Those are vendor figures we have not audited.

The case for Promptwatch

Promptwatch starts from the data. Prompts come with search volumes, difficulty scores, query fan-outs, personas and country, state or city targeting. Citation analytics go to page level, domain level, Reddit, YouTube and offsite mentions, with citation trends over time. Agent Analytics shows which AI crawlers (ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, Meta AI) fetched which pages, the crawl-to-citation path and the errors. Visitor analytics tie AI-referred sessions to conversions.

It also acts. Content Agents plan, write and publish GEO content to Webflow or Framer through a review inbox, driven by content gap analysis. Agent Chat answers questions over live data and Unified Actions builds the to-do list.

The agency math is plain. Kick-off is $199/mo for unlimited projects and prompts, 10 seats, 10,000 responses and 10M crawler logs. Growth is $399 with 25,000 responses. Scale is $799 with 65,000. Adaptify's three-site minimum is $999 a month.

Where Adaptify wins

Be fair about it. If your agency sells SEO retainers and needs articles, backlinks and technical fixes delivered under its own brand, Adaptify does work Promptwatch does not attempt. Promptwatch does not place backlinks or run technical SEO, and its CMS list is shorter.

Who should pick which

Pick Adaptify if you want an outsourced SEO production line per client site, with GEO as a feature, and a two-week visibility cycle is acceptable.

Pick Promptwatch if AI visibility is what you report on. You get published limits, eleven tracked surfaces, crawler logs and conversions, plus publishing to Webflow or Framer. For many agencies the sensible stack is Promptwatch for measurement and whatever production setup you already run.

Verdict

Adaptify is a capable automation platform, and it ranks below Promptwatch here for a measurable reason: you cannot see the crawl, the traffic or this week's movement. Promptwatch gives you those and still ships content. Try it on the free Explore plan or the 7-day Kick-off trial.
