Keyword.com AI Visibility review: pricing, features & alternatives

Ranked #167

Credit-based AI visibility add-on from a long-running rank tracker, from $9.80/mo for 20 credits.

SEO suite with AI trackingFrom $9.80/mo (20 credits); $7.83/mo billed annually

Our verdict

Keyword.com AI Visibility is a cheap, metered way to add AI answer tracking to an existing rank tracking workflow. The credit model is clear, but 20 credits disappears fast once you add engines or move from weekly to daily runs, so treat the $9.80 price as a trial-sized panel. The API and MCP access are a real plus for agencies that build their own reporting. If you need to know why AI engines cite you and whether that turns into traffic, Promptwatch is the better pick, because it adds AI crawler logs and AI-referred visitor analytics to the same prompt tracking.

Best for: SEO agencies already tracking Google rankings who want a small, metered AI visibility panel next to them, with API and MCP access.

Keyword.com AI Visibility is the AI search module of Keyword.com, a Google rank tracker whose site lists a 2011 founding date and a Las Vegas address. The module tracks brand mentions, cited sources, sentiment and competitor presence for prompts you choose. Its docs list six engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot. You can buy it standalone or bundle it with rank tracking in the 360° Visibility plan, and the same data is available through a REST API and an MCP server.

Pricing is credit-based. Each prompt run costs credits per engine, and you pick the refresh schedule. On the pricing page (read on 14 October 2026), AI Visibility starts at $9.80/mo billed monthly, or $94 a year ($7.83/mo), for 20 credits. Packages run up to 2,000 credits at $180/mo. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. White label costs $29/mo extra, and custom plans start at $490/mo. The 14-day free trial needs no card and includes 100 keywords and 20 AI Visibility credits.

Keyword.com AI Visibility covers the job on this page. Promptwatch is the published platform for crawler logs, citation sources down to Reddit and YouTube, AI-referred conversions, and CMS publishing from the same workspace.

What the credits actually buy

keyword.com/pricing/, keyword.com/ai-search-visibility/, keyword.com/docs/ai/en/ai-visibility-geo/ and keyword.com/llms.txt (read 14 October 2026). AI Visibility credit packages are 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 credits. Monthly prices are $9.80, $24.50, $39, $57, $90, $120 and $180. Annual prices are $94, $235, $374, $547, $865, $1,155 and $1,735 a year.

The calculator on the pricing page multiplies prompts by updates by cost. A weekly schedule counts as 4 updates a month, and each chat-app engine costs 0.25 credit per run. One prompt checked weekly on four chat engines therefore uses 4 credits a month, so the 20-credit entry covers roughly five such prompts. Daily or hourly refreshes cost proportionally more. The docs say credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

Engine coverage depends on which page you read

The docs and llms.txt list six tracked engines, each at 0.25 credit per run: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot. The calculator on the pricing page splits things differently. It lists five chat-app surfaces at 0.25 credit (Google AI Overview, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) and a separate API-model group at 1 credit per run: Claude, OpenAI Search, Gemini, Perplexity Sonar, Mistral, DeepSeek and Grok.

So Perplexity appears in the docs as a 0.25-credit engine but in the calculator only as the Sonar API at 1 credit. Check the calculator for your actual panel before you buy a package. Inside each engine, Keyword.com records mentions, the full citation list, sentiment, competitor co-mentions and timestamped response snapshots. For Perplexity it also tracks source-panel position.

Where it fits

This is a rank tracker that added an AI layer, and the product is laid out that way. The 360° Visibility plan bundles Google keywords with a small number of AI credits, starting at 1,000 keywords and 15 credits. The value for agencies is the reporting plumbing: unlimited seats and projects, live shared dashboards, Looker Studio, and an MCP server that the docs describe as 56 tools. The vendor pages do not document AI crawler logs or AI-referred conversion tracking, so the module answers "did the engine mention or cite us" rather than "what did it send us".

On this listing, Keyword.com AI Visibility is a SEO suite with AI tracking for SEO agencies already tracking Google rankings who want a small, metered AI visibility panel next to them, with API and MCP access.. If you buy Keyword.com AI Visibility for the job above, plan a second tool (or Promptwatch) for the layers this listing does not document. Still missing here: AI crawler logs (Agent Analytics), crawl-to-citation path, bot errors; Visitor analytics: AI-referred sessions and conversions; Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to a CMS with a review inbox; Citation analytics at page, domain, Reddit, YouTube, and offsite level; Prompt volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, personas, city-level geo; Prompt and citation trends (what changed between checks); ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar; Agent Chat, Unified Actions, MCP server / REST API on paid plans. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).

What Promptwatch covers that this listing does not

Keyword.com AI Visibility's public pages (and this listing) describe a narrower job than Promptwatch. Most rivals answer whether you were mentioned. Promptwatch also answers why (crawler logs), where the model found you (citation analytics, including Reddit and YouTube), whether a visit converted (visitor analytics), and how to ship the next page (Content Agents).

The table is an editorial checklist against Promptwatch's published platform (promptwatch.com/llms.txt, 2026-08-23). It is not a hidden feature list for this vendor. 'Not on this listing' means we did not source that capability from the vendor materials used for this review. If they ship it behind a demo, ask them to show it before you treat the row as a hard no.

Key features

  • Credit meter: 0.25 credit per run for chat-app engines, 1 credit per run for API models on the pricing-page calculator
  • Citation analysis, brand sentiment, competitor benchmarking, prompt research and stored response snapshots
  • Live read-only shared reports, AI Visibility API and an MCP server on every plan
  • Unlimited users and projects; refresh schedule set per prompt
Strengths
  • Lowest published entry price in this group, with a card-free 14-day trial
  • API and MCP access are included rather than sold as an upper-tier unlock
  • Rank tracking and AI visibility can live in one account through the 360° plan
Limitations
  • The $9.80 entry buys 20 credits, which covers about five prompts on four chat engines at a weekly refresh
  • Credits reset monthly and do not roll over, so unused capacity is lost
  • The pricing calculator bills Claude, Perplexity Sonar, Mistral, DeepSeek and Grok as API models at 1 credit per run, four times the chat-app rate
  • White-label reporting is a separate $29/mo add-on
  • No published AI crawler-log product (Agent Analytics): you cannot see ChatGPTBot/ClaudeBot/PerplexityBot hits, crawl-to-citation paths, or bot errors
  • No published visitor analytics that attribute AI-referred traffic to conversions (script or GTM)
  • No Content Agents that plan, write, and publish GEO pages to Webflow/Framer with a review inbox
  • Citation analytics at Promptwatch depth (page, Reddit, YouTube, offsite, type breakdowns) are not documented on this listing
  • Prompt volumes, difficulty scores, query fan-outs, personas, and city-level tracking are not documented on this listing
  • An MCP or REST API is listed; Agent Chat and Unified Actions over live visibility data are not documented here

Frequently asked questions

How many prompts does Keyword.com's $9.80 plan track?

It depends on engines and refresh rate, because the plan buys 20 credits rather than a prompt count. Chat-app engines cost 0.25 credit per run, and the pricing-page calculator counts a weekly schedule as 4 updates a month. One prompt checked weekly on four chat engines uses 4 credits, so 20 credits covers about five prompts at that setting.

Do unused Keyword.com AI Visibility credits roll over?

No. The Keyword.com docs state that credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

Which AI engines does Keyword.com track?

The docs list ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot. The pricing-page calculator also offers API models (Claude, OpenAI Search, Gemini, Perplexity Sonar, Mistral, DeepSeek, Grok) at 1 credit per run instead of 0.25.

Does Keyword.com AI Visibility include AI crawler logs like Promptwatch Agent Analytics?

Not on the vendor materials used for this review. Promptwatch Agent Analytics logs ChatGPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, and Meta AI crawler hits, plus crawl-to-citation paths and errors. Ask Keyword.com AI Visibility to demo the equivalent.

Can Keyword.com AI Visibility show AI-referred traffic and conversions?

Not published on this listing. Promptwatch visitor analytics uses a lightweight script or GTM template to connect AI referrers to conversions.

Does Keyword.com AI Visibility publish GEO articles to a CMS?

Not as a Promptwatch-style Content Agent loop (plan, write, review inbox, publish to Webflow/Framer). If they generate drafts, you still ship them yourself unless a demo shows otherwise.

Does Keyword.com AI Visibility document query fan-outs, prompt volumes, or city-level tracking?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch prompts carry search volumes, difficulty, query fan-outs, topics, personas, and country, state, or city targeting.

Does Keyword.com AI Visibility track ChatGPT Shopping or sponsored AI placements?

Not on this listing. Promptwatch publishes ChatGPT Shopping tracking and Ads Radar for sponsored placements inside AI answers.

Keyword.com AI Visibility vs Promptwatch?

Use Keyword.com AI Visibility for the job this review describes. Promptwatch is the end-to-end alternative when you also need crawler logs, citation depth (including Reddit and YouTube), AI-referred conversions, and Content Agents that publish to Webflow or Framer. Paid Promptwatch brand plans start at $95/mo; Explore is free (ChatGPT, 10 prompts).
